One of our next assignments is "window lighting." I spent some time with Cora this afternoon "playing" in front of the window :) I took about a million shots and got a few good ones. What can I say...her eyes are amazing!
Oh my gosh, Chels! The first two were cute, but when I scrolled down to the third one, I almost cried! Her eyes really are amazing, of course; but your composition and lighting are amazing, too. I really just love this picture - and am so excited that you posted them. I look at the photo blog every day; and almost skipped it tonight, because there hasn't been anything new for a while. I'm so glad I didn't skip it!
I agree. The eyes! So blue! That pink shirt made them stand out so much too. Those pictures are beautiful Chelsea Lou. Thanks for updating the photo blog. I can't wait to get those pics of cora printed out:) And Sarah added you to her blog right?
Calico Basin @ Red Rock is just a couple of miles up Charleston from the 215. This location has a huge wooden walkway bridge that winds up toward the mountain through lots of beautiful trees. The scenery changes drastically throughout the year. It is very brown usually Dec-Feb/Mar, then turns to shades of green with pretty yellow blossoms from about Apr-Oct, and then has really pretty fall colors for about a month before it turns brown again.
Blue Diamond City is located about 10 minutes from Blue Diamond Road & Ft. Apache. It consists of small town houses, greenery, and my favorite background ever...the RED wall! It has the most gorgeous yellow leaves in the fall. The one downfall to Blue Diamond is that the residents don't love people coming around doing photo shoots in their small town.
The Henderson Museumis approx. 45 minutes away from the SW side of town and has a $2/person admission fee. It looks very similar to Blue Diamond but has no residents to worry about. There are a lot of little houses and cute picket fences. Some trains, lots of grass and trees. Love this location.
Lake Las Vegas is also approx. 45 min away from the SW side of town. Beautiful lake, lots if greenery, neutral colors and beautiful buildings. A more formal setting.
Rhodes Ranch is a golf course located near the 215 & Durango in the SW area of Las Vegas. It's very green and has lots of palm trees, grass, some small water features and flowers.
The Smith Center is a performing arts center located near the LV Strip, just off of the I-15 & I-95. A gorgeous building with some modern art structures, grass, and palm trees.
