Okay, so this might be the longest comment ever! I'll only do one, per your request that I not feel compelled to talk about each and every picture. I'll tell you my favorites: you know I love the one of Cora's hands and the apple - that hasn't changed. I love, love, love the black and white of the clouds with the sun shining through. I'm a total nature picture freak, so I also love the grass, leaf, and tiny flower pictures. I'm also an autumn freak, so, predictably I like the Fall series; but my favorite is the lit candle. I think the one that might be the best picture (in my totally inexpert opinion) is the color one of the beads. Such a unique picture! Really, except for the cloud one, I'd be hard pressed to find a favorite - they're all so good. But the cloud one is fabulous! It's so pretty, it doesn't even look like Las Vegas. The ones of the kids are precious, too, of course. You really have a gift for capturing them at just the right moment. Did Sariah love the ones of Camden? Please keep posting your class pictures, and any others you don't mind sharing. I really look forward to seeing new ones. I always thought someone should do a coffee table book of just pictures of babies/toddlers hands and feet. You could do quotes about babies, hands, etc. (cheesy quotes are almost required). What do you think? It could be the next big thing! Just think of all the people who would buy them for baby showers, births, etc. Anyway, even if you never did anything but post them on this blog, I'd be happy. Keep on clicking! Love you.
Calico Basin @ Red Rock is just a couple of miles up Charleston from the 215. This location has a huge wooden walkway bridge that winds up toward the mountain through lots of beautiful trees. The scenery changes drastically throughout the year. It is very brown usually Dec-Feb/Mar, then turns to shades of green with pretty yellow blossoms from about Apr-Oct, and then has really pretty fall colors for about a month before it turns brown again.
Blue Diamond City is located about 10 minutes from Blue Diamond Road & Ft. Apache. It consists of small town houses, greenery, and my favorite background ever...the RED wall! It has the most gorgeous yellow leaves in the fall. The one downfall to Blue Diamond is that the residents don't love people coming around doing photo shoots in their small town.
The Henderson Museumis approx. 45 minutes away from the SW side of town and has a $2/person admission fee. It looks very similar to Blue Diamond but has no residents to worry about. There are a lot of little houses and cute picket fences. Some trains, lots of grass and trees. Love this location.
Lake Las Vegas is also approx. 45 min away from the SW side of town. Beautiful lake, lots if greenery, neutral colors and beautiful buildings. A more formal setting.
Rhodes Ranch is a golf course located near the 215 & Durango in the SW area of Las Vegas. It's very green and has lots of palm trees, grass, some small water features and flowers.
The Smith Center is a performing arts center located near the LV Strip, just off of the I-15 & I-95. A gorgeous building with some modern art structures, grass, and palm trees.
